Ixia is a leading provider of IP test solutions to NEMs, service providers, enterprises and government agencies. Ixia offers high-density, powerful chassis that house a variety of network interfaces - from Ethernet to POS to ATM. Ixia's hardware is complemented by a powerful set of test applications that cover layer 2-7 testing in the lab and in the field. The major test applications and tools include:

• IxNetwork - layer 2-3 testing of routers and switches through extensive protocol emulation.
• IxLoad - layer 4-7 testing of application servers, communications servers, forwarding devices, and security devices.
• Test Conductor - a complete automation and regression framework, which Ixia is contributing to the TesLA alliance.
• IxAutomate - prebuilt tests that automate performance, scalability, and functional testing of network devices.
• IxANVL - automatic validation of network protocol compliance and interoperability.
• IxChariot - provides device and system performance measurement under realistic load conditions on live networks.
• IxRave - live-system active testing and diagnosis, using the customer's actual data path.

Partnership Summary

Ixia is making a major contribution to the TesLA framework with elements from its Test Conductor product. Ixia will reinforce this with a continuing investment of resources and intellectual property to build out the core framework, and build plug-ins and additional components for the framework.

Ixia's major test applications will be compatible with the TesLA framework, providing test generation for layer 2 through 7 devices and networks.
